Getting The Most From Your Bridal Make-Up

Bridal Make-UpMost importantly, a great bridal make-up artist will only enhance your features with some magic, to give you to a blooming and beautiful face for your day, you should never feel the make-up is wearing you.

First and foremost, its essential for the bride-to-be to decide if there is anything in particular she desires. If so, pictures from magazines or the internet to show your make-up artist are essential. If you want to leave it to artist, be communicative with them before beginning.

For a flawless finish, your skin should be prepped well in advance. This will assist and allow you to look your best, regardless of the make-up applied. Prior to wedding day, ensure you invest in at least two facials, the focus here must be on 1. hydration, and 2. exfoliation/resurfacing. It is difficult to create a glow and bloom - which is the desired look for brides - on a skin which is flaky and dehydrated. You should be drinking two litres of water a day, for up to two weeks before your wedding, to ensure radiance.

Have a make-up trial; this will ensure you get along with your bridal make-up artist and they will help you feel calm and gorgeous on your big day.

Should you wish to apply your own make-up on the day have a bridal make-up lesson. Ensure you observe and ask questions - a good teacher will take time to ensure you know how to re-create what has been demonstrated.

For a long lasting and flawless finish, time and care must be taken. Ensure you use a great primer - a product specifically for oil control, on the forehead, nose and chin. Foundation should be applied with a great brush, slowly, using only what is required to even out the skin tone. TUse a great highlighting product to highlight your best features.

Do not skimp on the best products - the best will use small molecules to create a subtle finish, the cheaper products use larger, cheaper molecule, and the result is garish and so not subtle.

Using natural tones for eyeshadow, neutrals, with little or no gold or yellow - taupe tones are best, in varying depth of colour.

Do use false lashes - you can opt for individual lashes, and no-one will ever know you have used them, your eyes will just be enhanced.

The right brushes are essential. Use an eyeliner gel applied with a brush, rather than a pencil or a liquid. Once applied, this will NOT be moved, even by a few tears!
