Diva Tips & Tricks
Fashion
- Wedges - preferably high, but even if flatter - will still look cool this season. Only wear ankle straps if you have skinny ankles, otherwise it'll cut your leg in half
- High waisted wide leg trousers, preferably long with heels will lengthen your legs. Don't go too flared and baggy if petite - it is more flattering if fitted at top rather than baggy all over
- Volume is big from sleeves to hair and eyelashes! If you want to add volume but aren't sure which shapes to wear, bell sleeves give an updated feel without the bulk. If you're pregnant (or carrying a little extra winter weight!) there are plenty of fab smock shapes around
Beauty
- A professionally shaped eyebrow can make a huge difference to your look - even if you just have it done by a pro once and then continue to tidy them yourself (always better than that lopsided look!!!)
- As for hair, use your imagination - instead of straightening your hair within a inch of it's life - softer more natural waves or a little backcombing to add some volume. Maybe try putting it up and adding a hairpiece
- Animal prints are big in fashion and beauty so look for strong, exotic shades to compliment your wild side this spring! Colour is the key be it a single statement-making line of eyeliner or bright red lipstick or all-over shades
Interiors
- Interiors at the moment are all about going green, glam and gorgeous. So think about how to 'eco-fy' your home by turning electrical items off standby, looking for recycled or reused alternatives, or using energy-saving substitutes
- It's time to think outdoor entertainment with tents and gazebos - useful in the back garden or for a glitzy touch to a picnic
- Interior colours are fresh and vibrant to match the brighter tones going on outside so look for daffodil yellow, electric blue and just about any shade of green
Shocking Spring
As the blue skies of spring start to replace the dull grey days of winter and bright light streams through the windows, something terrifying hits us... oh my goodness, how dusty is this place!!! Thank goodness for spring cleaning! The same applies to people as well as homes. We've spent winter covered from head to foot in woolly jumpers, thick tights, Uggs - and when the weather starts to improve, panic sets in. Don't worry, the Divas always have an answer.
Question: But I look so pasty - how can I possibly make myself look radiant with my grey winter skin?!

You will receive an expert demonstration on how to use the make-up you already have, you can ask how to achieve particular looks or techniques. We will pass on tips as to what the current make-up trends are, as well as where to find the best beauty buys.
Question: What if my clothes from last year don't fit (what with all that lovely winter comfort food)?
Diva says: Our dressmaking and alterations team can ease your clothes to allow for those pesky pounds that crept up over the winter months or alternatively make something new!
Question: What am I going to wear - all the colours in the shops are different again?!
Diva says: There is no point in wearing this season's hot new colours if they don't suit you! By having a colour consultation, you can find out the range of shades that suit your hair, eye and skin tones, and bring out the best in you.

Her aim is to make sure the day is fun and inspiring and that you gain knowledge and feel confident. Lisa also speaks French and Italian for tourist shoppers or others who don't know their way around London or Manchester, where she also offers her services.
