Once again in fashion we're presented with an eclectic mix of products to choose from for summer 2005... from soft woven to nautical to Victorian antique, not to mention pretty feminine prints and a little glam sparkle! Mixing and matching all this to present a united front is one thing, but how do you incorporate it into your own style? 
Our number one tip for integrating fashion and style is to pick simple, good quality, classic garments and mix them with accessories and feature garments that you truly love, not just because they're in fashion, but because they're things you can see yourself wearing over and over. One of the biggest fashion mistakes we come across time and again is people buying garments that are too small in the hope they'll slim into them, trust us, it's not worth it just for the smaller number on your tag (and if it really bothers you that much, cut the tag out!). You're better off finding something that fits or needs slight adjustments (taking in or up preferably!) as you can wear it immediately rather than having it clog up your wardrobe... only to find that it's no longer in fashion next season!

Summer and the sunshine... well it's almost here and yellow is the big colour for the season. Think bronzed babe with yellow eye shadow or if that's too much go for a subtle lemon shade to dust over lids. Check out the new Juicy Tubes lip gloss from Lancome for the beach look. Feel you need some help with your make-up? Why not try a make-up lesson?
Time to get the fake tan out again and one of the best is It... Is Real Tan Spray from Palmer-Cutler for both guys and girls but specifically good for those of us who are pale and interesting for the rest of the year. As the seasons change it seems moisture is what we need to keep us glowing... we have found an amazing product called Jason Shea Butter, you can use it on the face, lips, put it in your hair for glossy locks, apply to legs - anywhere you need to moisturise... it's brilliant and it is rumoured that J-Lo has a full body shea treatment whenever she's in LA!!! So treat yourself!

With the longer, lighter hours now on offer, we're naturally inclined to want to lighten things up - not just our clothing and make-up, but our homes too. White is huge this summer and you can achieve this simply by adding white accessories or perhaps some new furniture if yours is looking tired. Play with line and texture to add interest for a hip chic look. Circles and spots are also going to make a come back and again can easily be incorporated into your interiors with some strategically placed accessories... why not replace your cushion covers or lamp shades, or add a throw rug?
Wishing for a bit of summer romance? With the extra daylight about you can afford to turn out the lights and use candles instead. Pick up some funky candelabras or use lots of tea lights to create a stunning look that will sweep anyone off their feet!

meet deborah
Deborah joined the world of consumer PR in the mid 80s starting with a small independent agency specialising in fashion and beauty. From there she moved to the influential PR agency Shandwick Communications working on accounts such as Charnos, Almay and The British Designer Show. During the 90s she worked for The Body Shop International. In her role as a senior PR Manager she created the format for the global product PR service that addressed the needs of its 47 UK and overseas markets. Since 2000 she has been full-time mum to little rascal Archie 4, learning a whole new set of skills including parenting, patience and how to say no! She joined Busting Diva in November 2004 as our PR Whiz and hopes to bring a combination of strategy and creativity to the PR activities in the future. She has a passion for interiors and loves charity shopping. Most weekends will see her politely haggling for a find at the markets and car boot sales of Sussex.

Yes, that's right, we've moved to a new studio based in the funky Barley Mow Centre in Chiswick, West London. With all the fantastic growth and activity over the last year we were literally "busting out"! The new premises are perfectly suited to our needs with their accessible location and bright, ergonomic spaces. Now we've got a wonderful space that can cope with the expansion and inspire and delight our clients.
