Why We Exist

Life in the 21st Century is sometimes like living in a pressure cooker. In the UK we work longer hours than anywhere else in Europe. We are constantly bombarded with demands to look good, feel good and do good and to create designer homes fit for the pages of a glossy magazine. We want to do it all and feel we owe it to ourselves to be the best we possibly can. But who has the time, the energy or the willpower? The answer is to delegate - Busting Diva can and will take the strain. They will inject clarity and purpose into a hectic lifestyle and because we all need a little TLC they'll add pampering and luxury too.

Who We Are

Busting Diva is a 'life styling' company that 'styles life'. Its team offer style, shopping and couture services to individuals, events and organisations.

The overall aim of Busting Diva is to help its clients realise their potential across different areas of their lives. The expert team will help to develop a client's own personal style relating to fashion and grooming as well as their home surroundings. Their distinctive advantage is that they offer many lifestyle services under the umbrella of one company. The team operates from a point of personal research rather than product-driven commission which lends integrity and trust to the process. The company ethos is to bring individuals together, not based on products being sold, but on relationships being made.

While the Busting Diva team like nothing better than to pamper their devoted converts, the company firmly believes in the importance of giving back to the community and the environment. The services have been developed with this in mind, employing standards that benefit the virtuous shopper in finding the balance between being stylish and being ethically aware. Clients are encouraged to shop prudently with an ethical bias wherever possible, thereby conserving their cash and their consuming. Many of the services encourage respect for the environment. During the wardrobe edits and clothing parties, clothing is reused and recycled and unwanted items are donated to charity while environmentally friendly. In addition Busting Diva treats all its stakeholders in an open and honest way and places a major emphasis on job satisfaction for its team.

Where We Began

Busting Diva is the brainchild of Danièle Hromek. The business was founded in May 2001 as a result of Danièle identifying the need for busy women, in particular, to delegate decisions and take advice on improving their lifestyles. Initially the services focused on fashion. The Busting Diva concept was conceived in Vancouver, Canada. It began as a favour to friends who wished to emulate Danièle's sense of style and find ways of discovering their own. Since 2001 progress has been steady and successful. 2002 saw the launch of the Busting Diva website (www.bustingdiva.com); the introduction of beauty services; being a finalist in the 2002 Shell LiveWIRE Young Entrepreneur Award for Greater London; and support of The Prince's Trust. In 2003 an inspiring range of interiors services were added to the mix and in 2004 Busting Diva's online shop went live.

Busting Diva's client base continues to expand year on year and as well as a loyal following of individuals it includes celebrities and custom from the worlds of business, finance, government and IT.

What's In A Name?

The Busting Diva name receives a wealth of delighted comments and interest in its origins. It seems to conjure up a vivacious mix of high-glamour cut with humour and exuberance that aptly reflects the ethos of the company. Its inspiration came when Danièle visited a theatre to watch a colourful performance featuring drag queens. She was hauled on stage because of her own outrageous outfit and while there noticed that the rather buxom lads were busting out of their girlie gowns - hence the name!

What Does The Future Hold?

The vision of Busting Diva is to create an international brand that respects its team as much as its clients.
