The Original Busting Diva!
Danièle's passion for style, devotion to genuine service and realisation that she is completely unemployable (!) led her to start Busting Diva. Style has been a driving force for Danièle as far back as she can remember; as a three year old she demanded her socks be changed because they didn't match her outfit! This early interest in aesthetics continued and Danièle has been designing in one way or another ever since. She has worked as a freelance photo editor for websites and women's magazines. She's completed courses in interior design, personal styling and personal shopping as well as magazine editorial and website design. Gaining her experience globally, Danièle has lived in London, Paris, Barcelona, Sydney and Vancouver. In spite of her designer credentials Danièle remains grounded and true to her hippy-child/surfer-chick roots. She represents the approachable face fashion and believes style is for everyone. Her vision for Busting Diva is to create an international brand that respects its team as much as its clients.

Mirjam came to us from Estonia. Having learnt dressmaking from her mother, she completed a costume course at the Wimbledon College of Art. Mirjam loves making one off bespoke garments and has made extraordinary costumes for her Estonian celebrity showdancing friend, using the most quirky mediums: liquid silicone, gelatine, melted plastic... all made wearable, and judged to second prize, in the competition MAD UK 2008, by the queen of quirky Zandra Rhodes! She loves working with silk fabrics and treating the surface of the fabric as a canvas, covering it with beads and brushstrokes, to create beautiful patterns on wearable pieces of art! She has experimented with silk painting for many years, and this has led her to develop her own textile techniques. Her fantasies are released whilst painting stormy heavens, sunsets and the most beautiful flowers on silk! If you see a perfectly groomed girl dressed in red, eating chocolate cake in an old traditional English tea room, reading a book about historical costumes, then it's sure to be Mirjam. Her belief that a garment has to fit like a second skin to bring out the best features of a figure, is sure to have you feeling like you're in your own fantasy when wearing a garment she has created for you!
